CONCEPTUAL
MODEL

The conceptual model is the next step towards the formalisation of the relationships among the entities of the domain. Starting from the categorisation provided by the theoretical model, we identified six classes based on the features of our entities - individuals, groups, locations, dates, cultural objects and events. For each category, we identified the properties that would allow a meaningful description; we expressed them in natural language in the first column of the tables. Then, we selected standard properties from different ontologies to be used in a formal representation of the relationships among the entities. We also provided a visual representation of these relationships. Finally, we described the main entities of our domain using the formal properties as predicates.
